É sabido que planear, definir estratégias, estabelecer metas e diferenciar-se são tarefas importantes para toda empresa que deseja obter sucesso. No que concerne ao estabelecimento de metas, existem inúmeras ferramentas que podem dar suporte à empresa; porém, uma que é internacionalmente conhecida por ter proporcionado o enorme sucesso da Google, o OKR - objectives and key results, parece ainda não ter sido adotado pelas empresas portuguesas. Assim, surgem algumas perguntas, tais como: porque utilizar o OKR? Como utilizar o OKR? Como ter sucesso no uso do OKR? Desta forma, procurou-se respostas ao estudar uma empresa que já utiliza esta metodologia. Assim, realizou-se um estudo de caso com uma unidade de negócio do Sebrae. Por intermédio de uma pesquisa qualitativa, que envolveu análise documental e entrevistas, foi possível perceber que o OKR vai muito para além de uma ferramenta de estabelecimento de metas, como se pode verificar neste estudo.

Anyone knows that planning, having a strategy, setting goals and differentiating are important tasks to every company that seeks success. There are a lot of tools that can help the company on setting goals; although, there is one that became very well-known because helped Google to achieve success: OKR – objectives and key results. That tool is not very known by the Portuguese business. So, some questions come: why should a company use the OKR tool? How should a company use the OKR tool? How can a company get success using the OKR tool? Thus, studying a company that is already using the OKR is necessary to know the methodology better and answer those questions. So, a case study in one of Sebrae’s business unity was carried out. Using a qualitative methodology with interviews and document analysis it can be seen that OKR is more than a setting goals tool, what can be checked in this paper. Keywords: OKR.
