The historical centers are the result of a current housing stock, with a great uniformity, consistency and constructive urban spaces in order to provide their own identity. One of the great urban problems are vast areas of degraded architectural point of view but also social, cultural and economic. Known major problems for residential buildings and its causes, its resolution is no need to adapt the rehabilitation process to traditional concept of sustainability. Conjugated these two issues are currently emerging due to the need for rehabilitation of the housing stock, including historic centers. The bourgeois house of Porto has a high degree of degradation, but although existing stocks of intervention about her relapse, aren’t proportional the current need. The city of Porto is marked mostly by the bourgeois houses, which were carried out according to standards of comfort and use of time. It is therefore essential to have a detailed study of the bourgeois home in Porto, evaluating the context in which it is wax (in the city and on the respective housing), subsystems constructive and rehabilitation practices.
