A versão
estatisticamente significativas.
The Benefit Finding Scale (BFS) is designed to assess the perception of perceived benefits in breast cancer patients at different levels, including social and family relationships, life priorities, spirituality, career goals, self-control, and ability to accept. the circumstances. The Portuguese version was administered in a sample of 94 (N = 94) women diagnosed with breast cancer, aged 23 to 79 (M = 50.03; SD = 11.19), between stage I, II and III of the disease. The instruments used were the BFS, LOT-R and HADS. In terms of fidelity, Cronbach's alpha value of .92 was obtained and all items correlated with the total scale between .52 and .69. At the validity level, the measure is considered one-factor with a variance of 43.97%. Correlations of r = .095, p = .361 between optimism and perceived benefits were obtained, and a correlation of r = -.065, p = .534 between anxiety and depression, both are not statistically significant.
