Resumo
Ao longo das últimas décadas um número cada vez maior de cientistas vêm alertando para o fato de que a forma com que a humanidade vem lidando com o ambiente está nos levando a causar a sexta extinção em massa no nosso planeta. A humanidade vem passando por uma fase de crescimento exponencial. Uma de suas consequências é a ausência da negatividade, que leva o ser humano a ter mais contato com o papel e menos contato com o mundo. Seguindo essa direção, o indivíduo tem-se tornado o explorador de si mesmo, criando uma situação de extrema produtividade. Paralelamente, a globalização criou um contexto em que destruição dos limites deixaram o mundo sem arredores, fazendo com que o problema fique cada vez mais próximo, e aumentando a consciência ambiental na multidão. Neste contexto, “[the] advent of plastic revolutionized every aspect of human existence; plastics can be found (…) on the international space station, in medical equipment, in educational materials and in arguably every job and livelihood on the planet” 1 (United Nations, 2018). As suas fantásticas potencialidades levaram a uma proliferação descontrolada do seu uso, em especial através do aumento brutal da utilização de plásticos de uso único e de vida curta, com consequências para o ecossistema que se tornam agora evidentes (United Nations, 2018). Ao longo das últimas décadas um número cada vez maior de cientistas vêm alertando para o fato de que a forma com que a humanidade vem lidando com o ambiente está nos levando a causar a sexta extinção em massa no nosso planeta. A humanidade vem passando por uma fase de crescimento exponencial, uma de suas consequências é a ausência da negatividade, que leva o ser humano a ter mais contato com o papel e menos contato com o mundo, seguindo essa direção o indivíduo têm-se tornado o explorador de si mesmo, dito isso nos encontramos em uma situação de extrema produtividade, onde a globalização acaba por diluir os limites deixando o mundo sem arredores, fazendo com que o problema fique cada vez mais próximo, aumentando também a consciência ambiental na multidão. O objetivo da presente dissertação é estudar e intervir nas atitudes da humanidade em relação ao planeta, e demonstrar formas de possíveis soluções que contribuem para as mudanças positivas nas tradições das multidões, a principal solução escolhida é a educação pelo exemplo na criação de produtos de design através da reciclagem de plásticos, onde a retomada da experiência com a realidade pode alterar a perceção e promover uma evolução genuína nas tradições, associado a um retorno direto de aprendizagem no contexto da resolução de problemas do quotidiano, levando a hábitos e comportamentos que vão em direção ao mutualismo na relação da humanidade com o planeta.
Over the last few decades, an increasing number of scientists have been warning that the way humanity has been dealing with the environment is leading us to cause the planet sixth mass extinction. Humanity is going through a phase of exponential growth. One of its consequences is the absence of negativity, which leads human beings to have more contact with paper and less contact with the world. In this direction, individuals have become exploiters of themselves, creating a situation of extreme productivity. At the same time, globalisation has created a context in which the destruction of boundaries has left the world without surroundings, bringing the problem ever closer and increasing environmental awareness of all. In this context, "[the] advent of plastic has revolutionized every aspect of human existence, [and can be found] in (...) every job and livelihood on the planet” (United Nations, 2018). Its fantastic potential has led to an uncontrolled proliferation of its use, in particular through the brutal increase in the use of single-use plastics and of single-use, short-lived plastics, with consequences for the ecosystem that are now becoming clear (United Nations, 2018). Over the last few decades, an increasing number of scientists have been warning that the way humanity has been dealing with the environment is leading us to cause the sixth mass extinction on our planet. Humanity has been going through a phase of exponential growth, one of the consequences of which is the absence of negativity, which leads human beings to have more contact with paper and less contact with the world, following this direction the individual has become the exploiter of himself, having said this we find ourselves in a situation of extreme productivity, where globalisation ends up blurring the boundaries leaving the world without surroundings, making the problem get closer and closer, also increasing environmental awareness in the crowd The aim of this dissertation is to shed light on the causes and consequences of humanity's attitudes towards the planet, and to demonstrate ways in which possible solutions can contribute to positive changes in the traditions of crowds. The main solution chosen is education by example in the creation of design products through the recycling of plastics, where a return to experience with reality can alter perceptions and promote a genuine evolution in traditions, associated with a direct return to learning in the context of solving everyday problems, leading to habits and behaviours that move towards mutualism in humanity's relationship with the planet.
