This document was developed for the Internship Report, for the Master's degree in Futebol – da formação à Alta Competição, at the Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias. The internship was carried out in the Under 17 team of Grupo Desportivo Estoril Praia, which participated in the national championship of the 1st Youth division, in the 2022/2023 sports season, with the trainee coach's duties being to support the main coach, assistant coaches, goalkeeper coach and physical trainer in the operation of training units and in games throughout the sporting season. During the sports season, 47 training weeks and 175 training units were carried out, 18 in the pre-competitive period and 157 in the competitive period, equivalent to a total volume of 15,750 minutes. Regarding the competitive process, the team finished in third place in the 1st phase and in seventh place in the champion qualification phase, playing 36 official games, 18 in each phase, overall, the GDEP team achieved 15 wins, 3 draws, and 18 defeats. In total across the two phases, 62 goals were scored and 70 conceded. In this report, there is a study on the effectiveness of the GDEP youth team where it was possible to identify that the team recovered the ball 122 of the 165 times in its defensive midfield, 61 times through duels, the preferred type of exit was the short pass on more than 50% of occasions (N=88) having used between 1 and 3 passes in 75% of plays. During the moment of offensive transition, players used just one of the runners 112 times, they were in 122 situations attacking with 4 or more players, however, the opposing teams had 4 or more players on 157 of the 165 occasions. These factors mentioned above contributed to a success rate of just 18%. At the end of this experience, we can see that the curricular internship is a very important stage in the academic-sports life of a trainee coach, as it allows not only the acquisition of knowledge through practical execution but also the use of theoretical knowledge obtained through training, degrees, masters and other courses. Keywords: Football, National First Division, Offensive Transition, Offensive Organization. IV
