parentalidade mindful e stresse parental.
The present study aimed to explore the relations between mindful parenting, parental self-regulation and parental stress during the COVID-19 pandemic. The sample was constituted by 213 parents of children and young aged less than 18. The data was collected through three self-report instruments answered by the parents, each instrument aimed to measure a specific construct: “Interpersonal Minfulness in parenting scale” for measuring the levels of mindful parenting, “Me as a Parent scale” to measure parental self-regulation levels and the “Parental Stress scale” for measuring the parental stress levels; participants also filled a sociodemographic questionnaire. The study results show a positive and significative correlation between mindful parenting and parental self-regulation, negative and significative correlation between mindful parenting and parental stress as well as a negative and significative correlation between parental self-regulation and parental stress. It was also evaluated the impact of mindful parenting through parental self-regulation, highlighting the mediation of parental self regulation on the direct relation between mindful parenting and parental stress. Although the study has several limitations and weaknesses, it underlies the need of investing in the empowerment of the mindful parenting and parental self-regulation dimensions in order to prevent the negative impact of parental stress on the family and the children’s development.
