Resumo
A complexa transformação social que caracteriza este início de milénio coloca a Escola face a novos desafios que exigem respostas adequadas dos agentes educativos, surgindo o professor-educador como gestor do equilíbrio necessário para mais e melhor desenvolvimento humano.
Procurando encontrar respostas adequadas para um caminho de transformação positiva, alicerçado numa educação para o optimismo, para a competência pela exigência e para o diferente que é o Outro, estudamos o Projecto Socioeducativo Escola-Família: Aprendendo juntas… um compromisso de futuro, implementado para responder à necessidade real de melhorar o sucesso escolar de alunos de 9º ano, para conclusão da escolaridade obrigatória, num horizonte de educação integral e cidadania social activa e responsável.
Numa metodologia de Estudo de Caso, alicerçada numa estratégia multimétodo que conjuga dados qualitativos e quantitativos, através da observação participante, registo e análise documental e questionários, alcançamos a compreensão e interpretação, tão abrangente e holística quanto pormenorizada e individual, dos fenómenos sociais em estudo.
Ancorado numa matriz humanista de valorização da dignidade da pessoa, num processo de acolhimento, proximidade e co-responsabilidade, este projecto promove a aprendizagem e o sucesso escolar dos alunos, a participação e satisfação das famílias com a Escola, a cidadania social de quem se sente capaz, autor da sua história e comprometido com o futuro.
The complex social transformation that characterizes the beginning of this millennium poses new challenges to school, which require appropriate responses by educators. The teacher educator emerges then as the manager of the balance needed for a further and better human development. Trying to find adequate responses to a path of positive transformation, based on an education for optimism, for the competence for the demand and the difference that the Other represents, we study the Socio-educational Project School-Family : Learning together ... a commitment to the future, implemented to respond to the real need to improve the academic success of 9th grade students, aiming for the completion of compulsory schooling, in an horizon of integral education and active and responsible social citizenship . In a case study methodology, based on a multi-method strategy that combines both quantitative and qualitative data through participant observation, document recording and analysis and questionnaires, we reach the understanding and interpretation, as allencompassing and holistic as detailed and individual, of the social phenomena under study. Anchored in a humanistic matrix of appreciation of human dignity, in a process of acceptance, proximity and co-responsibility, this project promotes learning and success at school, participation and satisfaction of families with school, social citizenship for those who feel they are capable, the authors of their own history and committed to the future.
