This Internship Report was prepared as part of the Master’s Degree in Sport Training in Football at Lusófona University – Porto University Center, aimed to describe and reflect on my responsabilities as an intern coach, particularly regarding the organization and training process of the Women’s First Team of Futebol Clube Paços de Ferreira, which played in Women National Championship of III Division. Besides this role, I worked as assistant coach in the men’s under 17 team of Futebol Clube Paços Ferreira, which played in U17 National Championship of II Division, and from January 2025 onwards, as First Team Analyst for the Men’s First Team, which competed in Liga Portugal 2 Meu Super. Simultaneously, and as a specific objective, the study focused on analyzing offensive set pieces, particularly corner kicks, executed by the Women’s First Team during the 2024/2025 season. Through the observation of these games and quantitative data analysis, the aim was to identify execution patterns, the finishing zones, the crossing trajectories, the number of players involved and how effective the corners were relating them to the first team touching the ball and the action’s result. The main results showed that the corners with an open trajectory resulted in more shots (the first touch was highly related to the offensive success). It was showed that trajectory, the finishing zone and who touches the ball first directly influence the success of the offensive action, increasing the probability of shooting. Therefore, and concerning the internship and its report, I considered that the season was positive, marked by both individual and collective player development, strong engagement with the club, and valuable lessons in time and responsibility management.
