A amostra é
frequentam desde o 1º ciclo do ensino básico ao ensino secundário. A média de idades situase
nos 13,24 anos (±1,9), sendo que 48,7% são do género masculino. Para o tratamento
estatístico quantitativo foi utilizado o programa SPSS. Os resultados obtidos apresentam uma
correlação significativa moderada entre as estratégias centradas nos objectivos e as crenças
comportamentais favoráveis, crenças normativas, crenças de controlo e crenças de controlo
interno.
The following research is entitled Student’s attitude regarding inclusion in Physical Education classes–the goal - centred cooperation strategies , and aims to analyse the existingcorrelation between the use of goal -centred cooperation strategies and the behaviour beliefs(favourable and unfavourable), normative beliefs and control beliefs (inner and outer) of students regarding the inclusion of their disabled peers in Physical Education classes. The data gathering was conducted through two surveys on a 6 - point Likert scale named, “Competition/Cooperation Chart” and “The attitude of students regarding the inclusion of their disabled peers”. The sample is composed of 2094 participants from twelve schools in the Lisbon area, ranging from primary education to secondary. The average age is 13, and 48.7% of the participants are male. For the statistical processing, the SPSS program was used. The results that have been achieved showed a significant moderate correlation between the goal - centred cooperation strategies and favourab le behaviour beliefs, normative beliefs and inner control beliefs. However, it also showed a significant weak correlation between the goal - centred cooperation strategies and unfavourable behaviour beliefs and outer control beliefs. Concerning the unfavoura ble behaviour beliefs, although still seen as negative, the students do reject behaviours that could affect the inclusion of their disabled peers in Physical Education classes. These results appear in every case where normal students show willingness to cooperate with disabled students because they do not see them as a hindrance but rather as a way to learn more about tolerance, mutual help and better understanding of each individual, going as far as being open to change in their curricular activities so that all students could benefit.
