do Sport Comércio e Salgueiros.
A equipa principal do
a vencer.
recomendações do “Consensus Statement on Injury Definitions and Data Collection Procedures
in Studies of Football (Soccer) Injuries”.
This internship report was prepared with a view to completing the Masters in Football - from Training to High Competition, at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports of the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies, in which all the coach-trainee functions performed are described. during the 2021/2022 sports season, in the senior team of Sport Comércio e Salgueiros. Upon joining this technical team, already formed, the functions of trainer-trainee became responsible for individual training and injury prevention, being the member of the technical team who communicated directly with the physiotherapists, an active collaborator in the planning of the training unit, leading the preparatory part and activation on match day, responsible for observing and analyzing the opponent (individually). The main team of Sport Comércio e Salgueiros competed in the Campeonato de Portugal 2021/2022, a competition organized by the Portuguese Football Federation reaching the 2nd Phase that dictated the promotion of division. The team reached 5th place, thus failing to achieve the main objective, which was to climb to Liga 3, however, despite the performance objective not being achieved, the team achieved great achievements this season, such as: having won the 1st Place in the 1st Phase of the Championship, to have 14 consecutive games without losing and a series of 8 consecutive games to win. Adjacent to these achievements, and one of the club's main missions, three locally trained players made their debut to the first team. This report also presents a technical-scientific study that analyzed the incidence of injuries in the hamstrings of the athletes of this team, during the 2021/2022 sports season. The injury assessment was assisted by a physical therapist, following the recommendations of the “Consensus Statement on Injury Definitions and Data Collection Procedures in Studies of Football (Soccer) Injuries”. Through the results obtained, it was possible to verify that the injury of the muscle studied has a higher incidence in players over 30 years of age, as well as it requires a higher recovery time.
